Maps:  1834 U.S. Map  “Mitchell’s Reference and Distance Map of the United States by J.H. Young, Published by S. Augustus Mitchell U.S. Map and 1871 Franklin/Grand Isle County Maps.  Donated by Gwen Caswell.  Dr Susan Ouellette of St. Michaels College will give a brief presentation on the history of U.S. maps and the significance of these maps
